Headteacher's Welcome

I took a huge leap this year and choose to rent a commercial space so that I could continue homeschooling while at the same time making a larger classroom so that we could invite other children and their families in to join us. I want to give my kids as normal of a social and schooling experience as possible and with the state of our world and our community, I didn't see any other way to do that.

I hope that you will join us in what ever capacity you are able. I know it's going to be another fun and exciting school year with so many fun and educational projects.

-We look forward to meeting you!

Non Certified School Exemptions
There are a few exemptions allowed by Washington State that allow me to teach other children that are not my own. One of those ways is for parents to donate their time to the school. This ensures that parents are actively participating in their children's education and is taking responsibility for their child's academics.

The second way is to have a certified teacher in Washington State sign off on the curriculum used for each child based on the grade that they are in. I have just found a teacher who is happy and willing to do this! That means that no longer will I be requiring parents to donate their time. Thank you Ed, we are so grateful to have your help and support!

Guiding Mantra
I am divine.
I am a part of the whole of Nature.
The rocks, the animals, the plants, the elements are my relatives.
Other humans are my sisters and brothers, whatever their races, colors, ages, nationalities, creeds, or sexual preferences.
The earth is my Mother and the sky is my Father.
The sun and moon are my Grandparents, and the stars my ancestors.
I am part of this large family of Nature, not the master of it.
I have my own special part to play and I seek to play that part to the best of my ability.
I seek to live in harmony with others in the family of Nature, treating others with respect and kindness.
