This is a fun time of year when the mushrooms start really popping up all over. We spent the morning part of our day at Lake Padden building a shelter and then finished up the day collecting mushrooms. When we got back to the classroom we made spore prints on black and white paper to see which color paper the spores showed up best on.
This activity got the kids so jazzed, that they were all too excited to learn all the parts of the mushrooms and trying to spot more every where we go.
